QNA Claims Six-Man Ramadan Press Football Championship Trophy

Doha, March 28 (QNA) - The Qatar News Agency (QNA) secured the 12th Ramadan press football championship trophy after defeating Al Sharq newspaper 2-1 in Al-Arabi Sports Club on Thursday. 

Meanwhile, beIN Sports defeated Al Rayyan Channel 5-2 in the third-place playoff. 

The six-man tournament has been organized by the Qatari media center at Al Arabi Sports Club hall with the participation of eight media organizations. 

HE President of the Qatar Press Center Saad bin Mohammed Al Rumaihi, who crowned the teams and handed over the individual trophies, expressed his happiness with the distinguished atmosphere and hailed all the efforts made that sought to produce it in a wonderful way. 

QNA coach Ali Salat was named the best coach, while Al Rayyan Channel's Ahmed Al Ajouz won the top scorer award with eight goals. QNA's Eid Al Mulla was named the tournament's best player and Saud Al Mutawa won the best goalkeeper.

HE Al Rumaihi hailed the event as a distinguished forum that demonstrates the one-family spirit of the Qatari media, through the presence of an elite group of local media outlets, calling for further support and care in future editions. 

Al Rumaihi pointed out that the Qatar Press Center is keen to develop the tournament, which is considered the most important and most famous Ramadan tournament in Qatar, stressing everyone’s keenness to continue and develop it and increase the teams participating in it. (QNA)
